Mangalore : As a part of Silver Jubilee of Post Graduate programme the department of Orthodontics and Dento facial Orthopaedics, AB Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences will hold 17th National Indian Orthodontics Society Post Graduate Convention at TMA Pai Convention Hall from Feb 28 to March 3, said Prof U S Krishna Nayak, organising chairman.

Speaking at the press meet held at Press Club on Feb 26, Tuesday he said that N Vinay Hegde, chancellor, Nitte University will be the chief guest and inaugurate the conference on March 1, Friday at 6 pm.

Prof S Ramanand Shetty, Vice chancellor, Nitte University will be the guest of honour, while Prof V S Kohli, president, Indian Orthodontic Society will preside over the event.

He also said that the conference will include over 50 guest lecturers to be delivered by renowned academician and clinicians from Indian and abroad apart from 200 student paper presentations and over 400 poster presentations.

A national level Quiz competition as well as Trade Exhibition with around 100 stalls involving national traders showcasing the latest materials in orthodontics.

Around 1500 postgraduate delegates, practicing orthodontics and teaching faculty have already registered for the conference, he said.

Dr M N Kuttappa, Organising secretary of the convention and Dr Ashutosh Shetty, chairman of the scientific committee were present.
