Mangaluru: ‘Abhinandana Nudisangama,’ a programme will be held to felicitate theatre person V G Pal on the occasion of him attaining 75 years at Town Hall in Mangaluru at 4.30 pm on December 4.

Dr P Sanjiva Dandekeri of the felicitation committee said V G Pal has been a part of theatre and film industry for about five decades and the programme will be observed to mark his contributions.

A souvenir ‘Pal Kadal’ containing write ups on V G Pal, by various authors will be released on the occasion.

The formal function will be inaugurated by Minister of State for Fisheries, Youth Services and Sports Pramod Madhwaraj. District In-charge Minister B Ramanath Rai will light the lamp. Prof B A Vivek Rai, former vice chancellor, Kannada University, Hampi, will release ‘Pal Kadal.’ M P Nalin Kumar Kateel, Mangaluru City Corporation Mayor K Harinath, Alva’s Education Foundation chairman Dr M Mohan Alva and journalist Manohar Prasad will be the guests.

Cultural programmes will be held by Muralidhar Kamat and troupe, Kudroli Ganesh, Raghavendra Rai, Ayana V Raman, Advika Shetty and Sri Nandikeshwara Shobha Rai and troupe.
