Mangalore : The members of Akhila Bharata Karmika Sangha staged a protest in front of the DC’s office against the management of ESI Hospital on May 2 Wednesday.
G. M. Gadkar, the state vice president of the sangha, said that the poor people were deprived of their basic rights by the hospital management. They also said that they will continue protesting till the deputy commissioner fulfills their demands.
Sudatta Jain Shirtadi, its general secretary, although a director from Bangalore has arrived and promised the protestors that things would be proper, nothing was done after getting back to Bangalore. They also said that the sangha organized a 60-hour protest against in 2012, but still their demands are being ignored.
He also said that the medical staff as well as the non medical staff at ESI Hospital is against them. He warned to continue their protest till their demands are met.
