Mangaluru: Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarti Parishad (ABVP) staged a protest against state government to failure of controlling increasing sexual assaults on women and minor girls, the protest was held at Ambedkar circle here on Monday Nov 3.
Speaking on the occasion, Chaitra a student from of Mangalore University College said, more than 400 sexual assaults cases are registered in 2014 in which 300 cases are on minor girls. State government should not taken any action against culprits. Government must provide Safety Cells in all educational institutions, she said.
ABVP City Secretary Jayesh P.K. said that, government must have a bill on sexual assault, now a days sexual cases are increasing in the state, the state government has failed to stop the increasing sexual assaults. He urged if government not taken necessary steps ABVP will stage huge protest in-front of all educational institutions.
Lavin Kotian ABVP district organizing secretary and other ABVP activists participated in the protest.
