Mangalore : Several students under the aegis of Akhila Bharata Vidyarti Parishad organised a human chain against the State and Union governments that had been accused of corruption at Bunts Hostel Circle on August 9, Tuesday.
The protestors said that Country’s independence is at risk because of the corrupt policies within India. Flaying the centre’s inability to check these corrupt activities, he said the three of the numerous central government scams have crossed Rs. 1 lakh while the other 13 scams have crossed Rs. 1000 crore each.
Speaking on the 2G scam, they said that which the largest reported scam within India was; he said that even the prime minister and the home minister are involved in it.
The protesting students demanded that the black money stashed in various foreign banks be brought back to India, the Jan Lokpal Bill be implemented, and that e-Governance be brought into force to make electoral reforms and the functioning of the government more transparent.
The members of ABVP will hold the ‘Tri-colour Dwaja Yatra’ throughout the taluk to fight against the corrupt government and its scams and work for ‘Corruption free Country’.
