Udupi : The ABVP organised a protest  near the service bus stand in the town on January 4, Friday condemning the brutal gang rape of a student in Delhi and also the several cases of crime against women. Students  of MGM College,  PPC, UPMC, MPMC, Government College, Vidyodaya College and Various ITI  took part in the protest.

Speaking on the occasion, Simran, a student of Upendra Pai memorial College demanded capital punishment for those committing such heinous crimes and als effective laws to curb such happenings.

The student marched in a procession from service bus stand to taluk office and submitted a memorandum to the tahsildar.

The Kaup unit of the ABVP also  organised a protest near the Kaup bus stand.
