Mangalore: The Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad has demanded that the entrance test for diploma courses be held at all district centres from the current academic year itself. The ABVP also staged a protest before the Karnataka Polytechnic College on May 30, Wednesday, in pursuance of this demand.
The agitators came down heavily on the government plans to have counseling by the Karnataka Examination authority for entrance to diploma courses from the academic year 2012-13.
He said counseling at Bangalore would be a great inconvenience to the students and added it should also be held at the district nodal centres.
