Mangalore : The Mangalore branch of the Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad staged a huge protest near Padua here on August 6, Tuesday to condemn the Pak army action of killing six Indian soldiers. They also burnt the effigy of Pakistan Prime Minister as a mark of protest.
Speaking on the occasion, K Ramesh, ABVP State unit Secretary, strongly condemned the killing and charged Pakistan of taking advantage of the soft policy pursued by the Indian government. The failure of the government to initiate stern action in earlier cases, had encouraged such acts, he alleged and called for strict action by the Indian Government. He said there should be no politics while dealing with such cases pertaining to the internal security of the nation and the lives of its valiant soldiers.
ABVP leaders Yatish Kumar P Mahipal and several ABVP activists including Satwik, Ujwal, Harsha, Chetan and Agneya participated in the protest.
