Mangalore :  A Konkani meet “ Konkani Samwedana” was organized by the Konkani Sahitya Academy in Mangalore on October 13, Saturday.

M Raghunath Shet, President of Konkani Bhasha Mandal, Karnataka, who was the chief guest said it was the duty of every Konkani speaking person to put in efforts to develop the language and patronize art and culture.

Kasargod Chinna, President of the Academy presided over the programme. He said the Academy will be organizing Konkani Mahotsav from October 22 to 25 wherein various programmes would be organized.

M M Miran, Konkani Navayutha community head, Ganapathi Shipayi, Konkani Kharvi community head, Concepta Alva, programme director at Akashvani, Madikeri, Mangesh Shenoy, music artist, Devdas Pai, Registrar were the chief guest.
