Kundapur : In a tragic incident Yadamoge Gram Panchayat President killed a person by ramming his car into the bike, over an enmity relating to granting approval for borewell. The incident had taken place at Hosabalu on Saturday night.

The deeased is Uday Ganiga (40) of Hosabalu.

As per the complaint lodged by the wife of the deceased, the police arrested Pranesh Yadiyal.

It is learnt there was a quarrel between Ganiga and the accused and infuriated over this Pranesh had rammed his car into the bike of Uday Ganiga. Though a critically injured Ganiga was rushed to the hospital, he had died by then. The accused had fled the scene soon after the mishap.

Shankernarayana police are investigating the case.
