Mangalore: There is now a new twist to the child sacrifice case reported from Yeyyadi in Mangalore in December 2010, sending shockwaves all over. Three persons have already been arrested and are in judicial custody. A three year old girl child of a Bihari couple had then been found killed allegedly as part of a black magic ritual.
The case got a new twist recently, when one Mohan Shetty who claims to be holding authorization to represent Kamalaksha Amin, lodged a complaint with the Mangalore Police Commissioner stating that a certain Pinto who had approached Amin in the prison with two lawyers had got a blank cheque signed by him stating they needed Rs 5 lakhs to bail him out. It may be recalled here that the bail plea in this case is currently before the Supreme Court.
According to Shetty, the bank had allowed the accused to encash a cheque for Rs 2.75 lakh despite him filing his objections. Shetty has also alleged that some efforts were on to grab the property of Amin by some forces. He has now sought a thorough probe into the case.
