Ivan D’souza. He was addressing the fresh graduates of Shree Devi Group of Institutions (M.P.T., B.P.T., M.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. Nursing, M. Pharm and B. Pharm) on their ‘Graduation Day & Lamp Lighting Ceremony’ held on Saturday, January 17 at T.V. Raman Pai Convention Hall.
Graduates success in their profession depends on the expertise provided and effective teaching standard imparted by the college. The healthcare professionals are in great demand all over the world, he added. Later he presented the scroll and memento to the graduates and congratulated them on their achievements.
Chairman of Shree Devi Education Trust Sri A. Sadananda Shetty in his presidential address revealed that the management is committed to create a favourable environment for both the teaching and learning in their institution.
Principal Dr. Jagadish Kamath administered the oath taking ceremony for about 125 graduates, Principal Dr. Bibiana Vijay administered the oath for budding nursing students during their lamp lighting ceremony and called upon them to uphold the ethics, noble values, ideals practiced and propagated by their idol Florence Nightingale.
Graduates Vivek, Princy Rajan, Sharanya, Sharon Mathew, Nisha recalled and shared their memorable experience, moments during their academic period. Vice-chairman Sri Nidhish Shetty, Secretary Smt. Maina Shetty, Trustee Smt. Priyanka Shetty and Principal Dr. Vijay were present on the dais.
Asst Professor Mrs. Edwina Monis welcomed the gathering. Mr. Ramesh Kulkarni proposed a vote of thanks. Ms. Judith and Ms. Aneeshna compeered the programme.
