Mangalore : The Action Committee to Fight for CBI Enquiry in respect of Mysterious Death of Khazi CM Abdulla Moulavi stage a protest meets in front of DC Office on Dec 20, Tuesday.
A large number of Muslim supporters participated in the protest rally held from Jyothi circle to DC Office.
Addressing the protestors, Twaka Ahmed Musliar, Khazi of DK said that Al- Haj CM Abdulla Maulavi was an eminent Islamic Scholar, apart from being the Khazi of Dakshina Kannada District and also a Khazi of parts of Udupi District in Karnataka and in Kasargod District of Kerala State. But on the early morning of February 15, 2010, the dead body of Al- Haj CM Abdulla Maulavi aged 77 years was found floating in Arabian sea at Chembarika coast far away from his residence in a mysterious circumstances. His hand stick, chappals and a torch light was found in a rock in the sea.
He also said that there were abrasions, lacerations all over the body with facture of spine between C6 and C7 and blood stains were found in the chest cavities. Due to his old age Al- Haj CM Abdulla Maulavi was not able to walk without assistance.
But in spite of these circumstantial evidence which leads to the death of the late Al- Haj CM Abdulla Maulavi to murder, the CBI team probing the death submitted final report to the court as the cause of death was ‘suicide’. The circumstantial evidence and the PM report exclude the theory of suicide, he said.
Jabbar Ustad Mitthabail said that there are several circumstances which rule out the possibility of suicide. The fracture of spine between C6 and C7 would positively go to so that deceased was murdered. This is a very telling circumstance and it completely rules out the theory of suicide.
Hence the committee urges the authorities to hand over the investigation case to the separate CBI team with higher officials leading the team, s that truth will prevail as to the mysterious death of Al- Haj CM Abdulla Maulavi.
Later they submitted the memorandum to Prime Minister through Deputy Commissioner Dr NS Channappa Gowda.
The committee leaders like Zainul Abideen Tangal, president of Karnataka Jamiathul Ulaima, Abdul Azeez Dharimi, MLA UT Khader, K Ashraf, Ibrahim Kodijal, Vahid Faizi and others were present.
