Mangalore : The district units JD (S) along with CPI (M), and CPI parties jointly organized a protest to criticize the central government for its failure to pass the Jan Lokpal Bill and to support for Anna Hazare’s anti corruption movement protest in front of the DC’s office on August 23, Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, JDS district secretary MG Hegde, said that even the youths from upper class have now expressed their support for Anna Hazare and his anti corruption movement.
He also said that Anna’s demand cannot be agreed fully since the Jan Lokpal Bill will not be able to clean the country of corruption as soon as it is passed.
Deviprasad Shetty, the president of the district JD (S); Vishwanath Rai, the CITU leader; Sanjeeva, the taluk secretary of the CPI; Shalini Shetty Kenchanoor and Vasudev Rao, both JD (S) workers; Raju Poojary, Anand Poojary, Vittal Shetty, K. V. Bhat, Rama Kunder, and others, all members of the CPI; and many others participated in the protest.
