Mangaluru : The IUML and SDPI activists staged a protest on the highway at the Talapady-Kerala border, against Karnataka’s decision to make RT-PCR tests mandatory for entry to Dakshina Kannada district.
IUML and SDPI activists shouted slogans against the government, blocking the road from Karnataka to Kerala for about half an hour at Talapady.
Earlier those who came to Karnataka from Kerala were allowed to enter the district by examining the RT-PCR Negative Report, the Corona Vaccine Certificate, or the RT-PCR. But now the test has been canceled and only RT-PCR negative report from Kerala has been announced. Only those who have brought a negative report are admitted to the district. The Protesters demanded that the decision Should be withdrawn immediately.
Manjeshwar police arrival at the spot, persuaded the protesters to withdraw the protest.
