Bantwal : Actress Ramya who is campaigning for the Congress has been booked for violation of election code of conduct. A case has been registered in the rural police station and the case is pertaining to the road show organised by her as part of campaigning.

It is learnt the campaign was in favour of Congress candidate from Mangalore UT Khader. As part of her road show, Ramya had travelled Farangipete and other places. As per the complaint lodged by one B Rajendra,  no permission had been sought either from the election officers or from the police department.

The police said  the video tapes had been documented and the complaint registered after it was verified that the poll code of conduct was violated.
