Kollur : Kannada film star Shruthi tied the knot to journalist and film director Chandrachooda Chakravarthy at a simple ceremony at Kollur Temple on June 6, Thursday morning. This is the second marriage for both of them. Shruthi tied the knot on the birthday of her daughter born out of her first marriage with film director S Mahendar.

Chandrachooda who is a journalist with Lankesh Patrike is an amateur film director. It is said both had known each other since five years.

 Family members and well wishers from both sides were present. On Wednesday several special poojas were performed at Ganapathi Temple of Shimoga. Soon after the wedding, the couple left for Chennai where Shruthi has to attend a film shooting. They are expected to return to Bangalore  after a week.

 Shruthi had earlier married Mahendar  and the marital discord had ended in a divorce. Even Mahendar had remarried recently.
