Mumbai : Police probing the murder of New Delhi-based businessman Arun Kumar Tikku, has arrested Bollywood actress Simran Sood after sustained interrogation, police sources said.

The prime accused Vijay Palande had introduced her as his sister to the 65-year-old deceased Arun.

Simran, active as a small-time actress in the film industry, made Arun tour in expensive vehicles to get the flat rented to Vijay. He used Simran to take the deceased’s son Anuj’s flat on rent.

According to police sources, Simran has detailed information regarding the murder of Tikku last saturday night.

Sources said police might give a clean chit to actor Anuj Tikku. the three accused were preparing to chop the body of Arun and bury it in the national park of Borivali. Police has recovered chopper, wire and a few plastic bags from the accused.

According to sources, a person named Karan Kakkar, a struggling actor and property agent, might be involved in this case. He is missing since March 5.

The suspect is Vijay’s friend and his missing report was filed by his brother Harish Kumar Kakkar at Amboli police station.

Vjay had used Karan’s card for filling petrol in his Mercedes on March 19 and for shopping on March 11 at shopper’s stop of inorbit mall, the sources added.
