Mangalore: 4 ENT cancer patients underwent most advanced laser surgery successfully in AJ Hospital Kuntikana recently. Dr.S.D. Jain who revealed the achievement at Press club today stated that laser surgery was performed in few hospitals only all over the world, and AJ Hospital has joined them in the advanced performance. On of the patients was Ramesh Naik (56) from Sirsi (NK). The cancer of vocal chords was removed and Naik could speak like others.
If cancer is detected at first and second stages, it can be cured even for mouth throat completely by laser surgery, the surgeon stated. The approximate cost is around Rs.45,000. Fellow doctors like Dr. Prashanth Marla, Shivaprasad Shetty and others  were present at the press meet.
