Mangalore: The itinerary of Rath-Yatri BJP leader has been altered to allow his touring vehicle to pass through only the 3 districts of Karnataka coast, namely,DK,Udupi and Kanara(north).

However, he will air-dash to Bangalore from Bajpe to address a public meeting there, on his ideals.

The Rath Yatra will be in Kerala on October 30. He will address meeting in Trissure and Kochi, but may fly to Bangalore from there for an overnight stay.

He will fly Mangalore by a special plane on Oct.31 morning and address local enthusiasts and followers in a meeting.

His motorcade from DK will proceed to Udupi and after a public meeting there, go to Kanara (north) the same evening (Oct.31) for stay. But on Rajyotsava Day, November 1, after the overnight stay, he is expected to address several meetings in towns of Kanara (north). This schedule is being worked out now.

The Karnataka Ratha Yatra stretch for L.K.Advaniis handled and managed by Mangalore MP Nalin Kumar Kateel.

The Chariot (Rath) of Advani is created in Pune, as an air-conditioned Volvo bus, fitted with an elevator, TV, computer and communication systems, with a provision for a podium, to address public meetings from. Dilip Chabria Design Pvt.Ltd. will present the product to the media on Oct.7, it is learnt here.

The chariot will cover 300 kms. in 6 hours per day. It has a comfortable bedroom and mini-conference hall. 18 vehicles including security and medical teams will accompany the Rath in the Jatha. The 84 year old veteran will cover an abluous 7600 kms journey to reach New Delhi in November (end?). Details are under way.
