Mangalore : State BJP president K S Eshwarappa said that the national-level anti-corruption Ratha Yatra undertaken by Lal Krishna Advani, the former deputy PM of India and BJP leader arrive Mangalore on October 31, Monday.
Speaking at the press meet held at Press Club on October 15, Saturday, he said that Advani will move towards Cochin of Kerala through flight from Bangalore on October 30, Sunday and will complete his visit in Kerala and reach Mangalore in the morning and have the press meet at Ciruit House and will move towards stage programme and address the public gathering to be held at Central Maidan at 10 am and go in the Ratha to Udupi and reach Karwar in November 1.
MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said that the people will have a small welcome programme to Advani on his way to Mangalore and back to Udupi with a floral respect.
He also said that around 1000 activists from Belthangady will come to Mangalore in padayatra and will join the programme. Over 50, 000 people are expected to gather in the event, he added.
Speaking on the present political scenario, Eshwarappa said that today the ministers in order to save themselves, try to insult each other. The BJP government had already said that if Lokayukta or court sends a report against many minister, the government will ask resignation and it has done the same with many ministers including former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, he said.
He also said that any allegations filed on the ministers are not culprits and have hope that they will come out safely without any allegations. He further assured to take resignation from the minister if claimed guilty, he informed.
The ministers alleging each other became the habit. Every day they release one or the other reports and accuse each other. In spite of have so many allegations against Chief Minister of Delhi Shiela Dixit and Home Minister Chidambaram, they have not given resignation.
Opposition minister Siddaramaiah said that BJP government in its three years tenure has not produced a single mega watt of electricity. But they must remember that the production in Bellary and Udupi was stop and present BJP government continued it.
Criticizing Siddaramaiah, he said that he does not know any calculations on how much amount of electricity and coal is required, hence he is unfit to be the opposition minister. If such opposition ministers are present in the state, Karnataka will not get any kind of basic facilities, he added.
