Mangaluru: The Urwa police have arrested a Advocate for assaulting a news correspondent of a private Kannada channel in Mangaluru.

The arrested is Yadhunandan, an advocate in Mangaluru and he had beaten Sukpal after verbal clash between them . The incident took place on Monday, November 22.

Reportedly, Yadhunandan attacked Sukpal with his associates using an iron rod injuring his head.

A case has been registered against Yadhunandan under IPC section 307,  324 and 341 at the Urwa police station.

It is gathered that Yadhunandan has filed a counter-complaint against the reporter.

It is alleged that, Sukpal had influenced a girl student to get sport quota Money from Mangalore City Corporation and also recommend political influence to get first place in Keladi Chennamma Sports award recently held.
