Mangalore : Vicar General Fr Denis Moras of Mangalore Diocese released the Konkani law book ‘Kanoon Divo’ authored by Advocate Stanly R D’Costa at Press Club on December 15, Thursday.

Speaking after releasing the book, Fr Denis Moras said that Advocate Stanly has taken an effort to educate the people on the law in Konkani. His thinking has reflected in his effort of bring out the third book on law in Konkani.

He also said that his effort to provide the legal knowledge to the Konkani speaking people must reach them and must be useful, he added.

Mangalore Bar Association president SP Chengappa said that there are more than 800 laws in our country, hence people may hardly understand some of them which is published in English, Kannada and Hindi, but the books written in Konkani can explain the language they can understand.

The book contains the 30 law written in Konkani language comprising of Criminal punishment case law, execution of family court, Bill on sexual harassment at work place, passport law and others.
