Udupi : Total ten police personnel, including sub-inspector (SI) of Padubidri police station have tested positive for coronavirus after they celebrate  birthday party in police station.

Padubidri police station is sealed down for 24 hours. Board school near the police station is temporarily converted as police station.

A few days ago a birthday party of a police personnel was held inside the police station. All the police personnel had dinner together in the police station itself.

One of the participants got fever within a week of holding the party. When he was tested, he turned positive for Covid. Subsequently when all the police personnel of the police station were subjected for Covid test, 10 including SI have turned positive.
