Udupi : After recovering the minor girl’s body, Udupi police have recovered the body of Pradeep (26), from the seashore at Mattu in Udyavar near Udupi on Sep 5, Friday

Reportedly, Pradeep, a painter by profession had fled with minor girl Bhagyashree on September 3, Wednesday in the early hours from Palimar village.

Getting the information, girl’s relatives filed a case of kidnapping on the same day. The police who launched a search for the girl, later found her body on the banks of the Shambhavi at Hejmady village on September 4 at 4 p.m.

But Pradeep’s body was washed away on the seashore at Mattu village. Before leaving the house, Pradeep had written a note to his mother revealing his love life and he would leave the house for her.

The post mortem report revealed that the girl was drowned and both might have committed suicide.

A case has been registered at Padubidri police station.
