Mangalore : As a part of 17th National Youth Festival (NYF), Aharothsav, a food festival and Yuva Krithi, an art fair was being inaugurated at the Karavali Utsav Grounds on Jan 13 Friday.

Ajay Maken, the union minister for youth affairs and sports in the presence of District-in-charge minister Krishna J. Palemar inaugurated the food festival comprising of 44 stalls featuring delicacies from different states.
Various delicacies of different states including Bihari Litti, Masala Dosa, Rajasthani Dal Bato Churma, Bamboo toasted rice of Arunachal Pradesh, sugarcane juice of Mangalore and others were displayed in the stalls.
Most of the food stalls have been set up by youth clubs from Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Chandigarh, Tamil Nadu, Haryana, and others. The food festival is open to public to view and buy between 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Yuva Krithi
Ajay Maken, the union minister for youth affairs and sports, inaugurated the Yuva Krithi at the same venue on Jan 13 Friday.
The art works from every state from Tamil Nadu, Andhra, Mizoram, West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir in the North, Gujarath are exhibited and sold at this event.
Some of the items on display are puppets made the tribes of Madhya Pradesh, miniature statues from Tikamgarh in MP, pillows, saris, tops, and covers from Bihar, marble elephants from Agra, carvings from Peepli in Bhubaneshwar, and many others.
