Mangalore: St Aloysius Institute of Management and information Technology, Beeri, Mangalore that has carved-out a niche for itself, in the field of management and IT all over India, is proud to present its ever-evolving annual management fest Insignia-2012, earlier known as Verve said Rev Fr Dr Oswald Mascarenhas SJ, Chairman, MBA.
He was speaking at the press meet held at Press Club on March 12, Monday. He also said that a two day management-fest, it will be inaugurated on March 15 at the AIMIT, Beeri campus by Vishal Hegde, Trustee, Nitte Education Trust. The valedictory ceremony will be presided over by Walter D’Souza, chairman, FIEO on the evening of March 16.
He also said that Insignia-2012 is not just another management fest, it’s our bold step towards a paradigm shift towards management studies that also tries breaking all the silos of MBA. It’s our quest for another meaningful dimension to management studies and hence the theme for this year’s fest is ‘The Blue Oceanic Quest- a Journey beyond Imagination’. It’s our quest to explore the ‘Blue Oceans’, to explore the unexplored.
The prime objective of Insignia-2012 is to help management students to look at the blue-oceans, like market, products, idea that are unexplored rather than fight for a small share in the red-competitive-oceans. The key to achieve these blue oceans can only be thinking creatively, innovatively and thinking out of the box. Charity begins at home and so does thinking creatively. Hence, practicing what we preach, we’ve come up with this innovative idea of including even fashion-management institutes for this learning-enriching experience, besides MBA/ PG programmes in business.
The institute expects twenty management and fashion institutes to participate in the event, each team to consist of team of twelve participants. The registration fee per team is Rs 3000 which will cover their food and accommodation and to and fro transportation expenses between AMIT and Mangalore.
The learning extravaganza will be conducted in an environment of complete fun and freedom, in the form of seven different events, all first of their kinds like The Best Chief Minister (The Pole Star), The AIMIT Village (Renaissance), Catastrophic Healthcare Management (Forsikring), Sports Management (Athena), Fashion and Entertainment (Festejo), Eco Management (Sattva) and Personal Investment Planning (Aumentar).
Rev Fr Denzil Lobo SJ, Director, AIMIT, Shawn Periera, faculty co-ordinator and Alston D’Souza, event manager were present.
