Udupi : The All-India  , All-India Democratic Students Organisation and All-India Democratic Youth Organisation members staged a demonstration at the Ramaswamy Circle here on Saturday condemning the gang-rape of the photojournalist in Mumbai. A high-level probe must be set up to ascertain the events leading to the crime. 

They demanded that the government bear the entire medical expenditure of the victim and extend all assistance to her. It is high time that the government banned all obscene literature, pornography and films depicting women in poor light, which have accounted for crimes against women. People should join hands and cooperate with the authorities to put down crimes against women.
