Mangalore : A longstanding demand has been fulfilled with the Union Finance Ministry notifying  the  air cargo complex at Mangalore International airport.

The Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry which has expressed pleasure over the move, has said that the notification will now allow air cargo  from Mangalore to overseas destinations. This would be a great boost to exporters, manufacturers as well as fisheries and agricultural exports from the region.

 As per the  Finance Ministry notification   unloading of imported goods and the loading of export goods or any class of such goods,  is allowed at Mangalore airport.

 The KCCI has expressed its gratitude to all authorities and union Minister Veerappa Moily for their efforts in this direction.
