Mangalore : All India Radio, Mangalore in association with Ramakrishna Math will hold a state-level programme for youth – Viveka Spoorthi, Yuva Shakti at math premises near Mangaladevi on Jan 16, Wednesday.
Speaking at the press meet held at Press Club on January 14, Monday, Vasanth Kumar Perla, head of programming, AIR, Mangalore said that the event will be held to celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda with the aim to spread message of Swami Vivekananda among the youth.
Shalini Rajaneesh, secretary, department of personnel and administrative reforms will inaugurate the programme, while Swami Jithakamanandaji, president of Ramakrishna Math will deliver the key-note address.
Raveendra, director, Sri Vivekananda Education Trust, Puttur will participate as the resource person in the first session titled – Viveka Marga – Jagrutha Bharatha. BV Vasanth Kumar from Mysore will chair the session. Students of Sri Sharada Vidyanikethana Public School, Talapady will present a programme – ‘Mera Bharath Mahan’ after the first session.
In the second session, Niranjana Vanalli, faculty, department of journalism and mass communication, University of Mysore and Mandya Ramesh, theatre personality will give talk Viveka Marga – Media and youth mentality. HV Narasimha Murthy will chair the session. After the session, Students of Canara College will present a ballet ‘Swabhiman Bharath’ on the occasion.
AIR will live broadcast of the programme from 9.30am to 11.30am.
