Mangalore : As a part of the airport’s diamond jubilee celebrations, the committee will hold 2-day national conference titled ‘Indian Aviation and Tourism – Opportunities, Challenges, and New Directions’ at the old terminal building of Mangalore Airport on Aug 21 – 22.
Speaking at a press meet held at press club on Aug 8, Monday, K. Tejomaya, the chief coordinator of the Mangalore Airport Diamond Jubilee Celebration Committee, said that Prof. Mallikarjunappa, the head of the department of business and tourism administration at Mangalore University will be the in charge of the convention.
He said that a total of 175 – 200 delegates including delegates from foreign countries are expected to participate in the event and papers have already been received from the barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria, Australia; former senior legal aid counsel, Hong Kong; Kingdom University, Bahrain; South Africa; IIM in Kozhikode, University of Southern Mississippi; universities, organizations, and colleges from all over the country; as well as tourism industry professionals.
The resources persons will be Prof. Sandeep Kulshreshstha from Indian Institute of Travel and Tourism Management in Gwalior, Prof Y. Venkat Rao from Pondicherry University, Prof. Jayaram of Madurai Kamraj University, and Giorgio Magistrelli from Italy and many others will participate, he said.
