Udupi: Students of the Ajjarkad G Shanker Women’s First Grade College staged a massive protest on September 7, Friday condemning a report published in a Bangalore based eveninger   stating that a lecturer of the college with the support of the principal was sexually harassing the students.

The students  said it was nothing but an attempt to tarnish the image of the college and demanded an apology from the editor of the eveninger called Parashu.

The students took out a protest rally from the college to the service bus stand and burnt copies of the newspapers.
They also said they would go on a  fast against injustice if the editor fails to turn up  in the college and apologize on Monday.

A memorandum was also submitted to the Deputy Commissioner.
