Mangalore : The Aksharadasoha scheme workers in D.K. district led by CITU leaders staged a protest in front of D.K Zilla Panchayat office at Kottara chawki in Mangalore city on Thursday morning, demanding better pay(10000 pm) and other basic facilities like food and provident fund provisions.

CITU president Balakrishna Shetty in his speech to the workers stated that they have been fighting for years together for basic facilities(rs.10000pm) and life time provisions in P.F and annual holidays and such other facilities under the  scheme of the state Govt. , but had not received an adequate pay and other demands from the state govt. so far.  CITU leaders Rohini Shetty and Vasanth Acharya were present at the rally.
