Ullal : A young girl who was taking treatment at Teloka De-addiction Center at Ullal Seaground committed suicide by hanging herself from a tree on September 16, Tuesday.

The deceased is identified as Sudha (20), a resident of Moodbidri.

It is learnt that, Sudha was addicted to alcohol hence her father admitted her to the centre on May 20.

After getting discharged from the center on September 14, Sunday she was taken to the center for a regular visit. The cause of the death is not known.

A case has been registered at Ullal police station.
