Bangalore : With the Supreme Court ruling in favour of the appointment of Shankar Mahadev Bidari as state DGP and IGP, chief minister D.V.Sadananda Gowda insisted that all appointment made by his government are legal.
Gowda assured that all future appointments will be legal as well.
“The appointment has been ‘vindicated’ by the apex court. The next course of action will be decided upon after obtaining a copy of the Supreme Court’s verdict,” Gowda told reporters here.
Gowda, however, refused to comment on M.D. Vishwanath withdrawing his High Court appeal against former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa. Vishwanath had questioned the clean chit to the latter over illegal mining.
“I do not know with what intention was the appeal filed and withdrawn. It is not a good tradition to file a petition against anybody and withdrawing it unnecessarily. Because of this, no case will reach its logical end,” said Gowda.
