Mangalore :  The latest protest against change in carry ove system introduced by the Higher Education Department, was staged in Mangalore on July 27, Saturday by the All College Students Association.

Dinker Shetty, State President of the Association strongly condemned the decision to change the carry over system and added that the new system has hit hard students who may not be able to attend next classes. He said the earlier system wherein students who failed in upto ten subjects were allowed to continue studies were welcome and urged the government to revoke the changes introduced in the system.

He was also critical of the local elected representatives for not considering  the demands of the students.

Several student leaders and students of various colleges participated in the protest.
