Kasaragod: It has been decided in a recent meeting called and presided over by deputy Commissioner of Kasaragod district, V.N. Jitherndran, to extend all town service buses trips to the local town Railway station.
All those buses which can stay for over 5 minutes in the old bus stand, have to go to Kasaragod railway station, and return, from April One, while there will be no further new permissions for any auto-rickshaws to run in the town, according to a decision taken in an RTO meeting have on Saturday.
The RTO meeting also stressed that no traffic Congestion should be caused by parking the service buses at the railway station.
Those auto-rickshows in town, are separated as for passenger service, and to carry fishermen with catches. Separate rules are made.
Those vehicles which do not faithfully observe rules and regulations, while running or parking in the city, may be fined Rs5,000 or even face Cancellation of driving licenses, for faulty conduct, from RTO.
In Kanhangad, no parallel stage Carriage services by autorickshows are allowed hereafter, and they face penalties if they commit faults, RTO warned.
