Mangalore: The allegations made by Udupi MP DV Sadananda Gowda on the congress and JDS of having powerful interests in mining is false, said MLA UT Khader.
Speaking at the press meet held at District Congress office on Wednesday, May 11, said that Mr Gowda said that the Bharathiya Janatha Party (BJP) placed false public documents related to the looting of iron ore at mines in Bellary and other places in Karnataka in order to confuse the people.
He also said that even the chief minister BS Yeddyurappa has agreed that the mining of Rs 2 lakhs have been taken place during his power. The illegal mines held in Biligeri , were seized while being transferring to Pakistan and CM must answer to these, he said.
He also said that CM is in charge of mines and geology department, forest department and even Home department and RTO department, hence the truck carrying the mines have crosses 16 check posts without knowing any information.
The congress is ready to handover the mines investigation case to the CBI and the BJP in fear of being trapped is escaping the matter.
He said that, the state government must extend the work duration of Justice Santhosh Hegde.
