Bengaluru : In a shocking incident retired Vice Chancellor of Alliance University was hacked to death at RT Nagar in Bengaluru on Tuesday night.

The deceased, identified as Ayyappa Dore had gone out for walking on Tuesday night when the miscreants attacked him, informed sourcers.

The police suspect that Ayyappa was murdered over various complaints related to Alliance University.

A case in this regard has been registered with the RT Nagar police.
