Mangalore: A farewell ceremony was arranged at the Karnataka Bank auditorium near Pumpwell on Wednesday, December 14 for outgoing IGP Alok Mohan, who is replaced by Pratap Reddy o the same day.
Speaking of the IGP who is leaving, Pratap said he would Continue the systematic work left behind by Alok in the Last 18 months, in a Zone of peace.
Udupi SP Dr. Ravikumar spoke of his association with Alok as ‘Challenging’. He handled a number of cases of theft and shooting, ably guided by his senior officer. Hard work and professional approach were two qualities that distinguished Alok and copied by Junior officers, Dr. Ravi said in praise. Karwar SP, K.T. Balakrishna also spoke Suitably to felicitate Alok.
DK DC Dr. Channappa Gowda stated that Alok would be remembered for all the diligent work he did for Western Zone, as a careful pro-active officer.
CPC Seemant Kumar Singh, IPS., informed that Alok had raised his spirits during difficult times, by guiding him every moment. The courses Alok will attend in an year would be helpful to state police for a long time to come. The entire police force felt fortunate to have him here.
Alok in reply to appreciative words spoken on the occasion, told all of them he believed in team work and friendly atmosphere. Whatever he had achieved he had achieved was because of his Colleagues in the city, in common efforts, he pointed out. The Western range had the best police officers, he concluded.
