Mangaluru : The students of St Aloysius PU College who were missing since the past few days have been traced near the railway station at Shoranur in Palakkad of Kerala on February 4, Thursday.
The Bunder Police have already left for Shoranur to bring the girls back to Mangaluru.
A 16-year-old girl and her 17-year-old classmate attended classes in the college on February 1. After college hours, the two left the college around 2.30 p.m. They did not return home which led their parents to register a missing complaint with the Mangaluru North Police the same evening. While one girl is a resident of Chilimbi, the other is from Surathkal. These two girls are from the Commerce stream.
One of the girls named Smriti hails from Suratkal, the other girl Jacqueline is from Chilimbi. Police Commissioner M. Chandra Sekhar has formed a special team to trace the two girls.
It is said that the girls were dejected after they scored low marks in exam and had decided to leave the city.
