Mangaluru: In an ghastly accident a person killed on the spot while several others sustained injuries in a collision between a car and bus at Parari on Mangaluru- Moodbidri national highway on Saturday, December 28.

The deceased has been identified as  Dr Vernon D’Silva, principal, MLT (Medical Lab Technology) Alva’s College, Moodubidri,

As per reports, the accident occured after the driver of the bus headed towards Mangaluru from Moodbidri lost control and collided into the car coming from the opposite direction before falling into a roadside ditch.

Dr. Vernon, who was driving the car, died on the spot.

A case in this regard has been registered with Mangaluru rural police.
