Moodabidiri: Alva’s Vidyarthisiri -2016 will be inaugurated by the well known Indian theatre actor, singer and director B Jayashree on 17 November.

Vidyarthisiri will be presided over SDM High School, Belthangady Student Kumari Ananya.

On the occasion Vidyarthisiri award will be conferred to children literature organiser V B Kulavarma Kumble of Kasargod, Vaishnavi N Rao of St Mary’s International School, Chikkamagaluru.

A guest lecture will be delivered in the topic of ‘Youth and challenges ahead’ by the Assistant Director of Veterinary department Janaki Sundaresh. Student’s special talks will be delivered by SDM High School student Poornima R Jain and NMPU College, Aranthodu student Pooja K M on the topic of ‘Disappearing home literature’ and ‘Role of students in Swach Bharat in India’.

Alva’s PU College student Sushmitha K Rai will be delivering the valedictory speech and during the award ceremony various cultural events will be presented by the students.

Large number of audience from Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Kasargod district are expected to attend the convention.
