Dubai : Alva’s Virasat and Nudisiri which are immensely popular in Dakshina Kannada district, will now be held at an international level. Alva’s Virasat and Nudisiri will be at Dubai on January, 31 and in Abu Dhabi on February 1.

Informing this at a  meeting convened by Namma Tuluveru to discuss and plan the cultural fest at the Banquet Hall of Fortune Plaza, here Dr Mohan Alva, Chairman of Alvas Education Foundation, said over 80 artistes from the Foundation will arrive in the Gulf to give performances for the event. He said the programmes will also be held at  Bahrain, Muscat, Qatar, Malaysia and other countries in the near future..

He said that this cultural festival had as its objective spreading the cultural awareness in the society.

A meeting was also held  at Abu Dhabi under the presidentship of BR Shetty under the aegis of the Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha to discuss the issue. Various associations agreed to support the event.

On January 31, 2013 Alva’s Nudisiri and Virasat will be inaugurated at Al Nasr Leisure land Ice Rink, in Dubai while at  Abu Dhabi it will be held at the  Indian School Auditorium.There will be a variety of cultural programmes including dance and musical programmes.
