Udupi: The District Manager of the Dr BR Ambedkar Development Corporation Ltd was trapped by the Lokayukta while accepting bribe from a person on October 3, Wednesday.

According to CE Thimmaiah, Lokayukta police officer, the District Manger Damodar Naik had demanded a bribe of Rs 2000 each from five persons who are beneficiaries of Ganga Kalyana Scheme from Kundapur in order to clear their cheques.

The raid followed a complaint by one of the beneficiaries named Gopalkrishna.
