Kundapur: In a tragic incident a car collided with ambulance resulting in death of one woman near Tauhid College at Shiroor on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Jagadambika. Two others from car and two from the ambulance are sustained with serious injuries. Deceased woman was in the car.

As per the locals, there were six persons in the car and it was plying from Kollur to Murudeshwar. After dropping a patient to a hospital the ambulance was returning from Bhatkal.

Early morning the incident took place and locals have informed that due to the delay in taking inured to the hospital, one death has occurred.

Injured are admitted in Manipal Hopsital. A child who was in the car is said to be safe.
