Bantwal : A drunken and reckless driving by two ambulance drivers resulted in the ambulance overturning at Budoli near Maani on June 14, Friday evening. Three persons including a sick woman who was being taken in the ambulance to a hospital in Mangalore from Hassan sustained injuries.

Those injured are Zubaida Banu (65), her husband Amir Jaan (69) and daughter Kausar. The two ambulance drivers from Hassan namely Ganesh and Nagaraj have been handed over to the Vittal police. It is said they who were taking turns and driving, had consumed liquor at Gundia and were driving at great speed resulting in the accident. IT is said they increased the speed of the vehicle when the family asked them to slow down the  speed.
