Mangaluru : Mata Amritanandamayi, also known as Amma, will be visiting Mangaluru on January 9 and 10 during which time she would give darshan to devotees and render discourses.
The two-day event will include Brahmasthana Mahotsava and Amrita Sangama 2016 at Mata Amritanandamayi Mutt, Sulthan Bathery Road, Boloor, according to Mata Amritanandamayi Samiti office-bearer M. Vaman Kamath. She would bless all her devotees, he said.
While meditation, Lalita Sahasranama Archane, poojas and discourses are planned on both the days from 7 a.m., her satsanga will start from 10 a.m. Mr. Kamath said that it is better that devotees assemble at the venue well before 9.30 a.m. to get ‘time tokens’ which can be exchanged for darshan tokens on priority. Arrangements for food have been made at the venue.
Mr. Kamath said that since Amma’s visit falls on the weekend, more number of devotees are expected to attend the same. Bus facility would be made available in late evenings to important places in the city, including bus stands and railway stations.
Other office-bearers of the samiti were present.
