Mangalore : Matha Amrutanandamayi popularly called as Amma will be visiting Mangalore participate in the Brahmasthana Mahotsava at Amrita Vidyalaya Bolur on February 10 and 11.
Speaking at the press meet held at Amrita Vidyalaya Bolur on Feb 8, Friday, Vaman Kamath, president of the Math said that Matha Amrutanandamayi will also participate in satsang, bhajan and meditation on both the days and Amma will personally provide Prasadam to the devotees on the both day.
He said that on 10th, Amma will give Prasadam to devotees of the other places and on Monday, to the devotees of district.
People interested in having her darshan will have to take the free tokens including children which will be distributed by the volunteer in the places they are seated on Feb 10 at 9.30 am. Matha Amritanandamayi will give darshan to devotees in the morning on both the days.
As a part of Amala Bharatha Campaign, Amma will inaugurate the distribution programme pf cotton and jute hand bags to support plastic ban, distribute scholarships like ‘Vidyamritha’ and Amritha Nidhi’ on Feb 10 at 11 am.
Kamath said that around 60 students have been selected for ‘Vidyamritha’ already and nearly 1000 students are expected to participate.
Free food arrangements for the devotees have been made while accommodation will also be provided for devotees from other places.
Further if Amma permits, an auditorium will be constructed which will be helpful for the economically backward family to perform marriages.
Sanath Hegde, Ganesh Hosabettu, Sudhakar Kamath and Vishwanath were present at the press meet.
