Mangaluru: Annually held ‘Ammanedege Namma Nade’ procession from Maravooru to Sri Durga Parameshwari temple, Kateel was culminated successfully as thousands of devotees took part in the procession, on Sunday.
The procession was organised by Kateel Padayatre Samiti. The procession covered a distance of 14 kilometres to reach Kateel temple. Nealr 25000 people joined the procession as it continued.
It is a annually held procession which was started by Sandeep Shetty Maravoor in 2014. Since then Padayatre Samiti organises in every year.
Devotees chanted Bhajans and Chende and other traditional instruments increased the devotion of procession. Starting from Maravoor procession went via Kenjaru, Porkodi, Permude and culminated at Kateel Temple.
Sandeep Shetty Maravoor, Sukhesh Shetty, Harish Shetty, Ravi Asaigoli and other members of the samiti were present.
